Company History

Begun in 1952 by Mr. Everett Hall and Mr.Lamar Kelsey, Jr., Hall Lumber Co., Inc. is Chester's oldest building supply. Known throughout the years for quality building materials and friendly service. Today the company is owned and operated by the second generation of Kelsey's.

The building is the second home for Hall Lumber Company originally located on Church Street where the First Baptist Sunday School Building currently sits. The 106 Hudson building was the first home of Dixie Home, Chester's first supermarket built in 1941. It has the original pressed tin ceiling and exposed brick interior walls. Over 7000 Square Feet open floor space.

Today, the business includes not only building materials, but a wonderful selection of antiques from the late 1700's through the 1950's.
